It is also about consuming the right amount of calories to maintain breast milk while breaking the habit of eating for two. And while the physical program is key in achieving success, equally important is the mental and emotional commitment. The new moms who achieve weight loss are dedicated to their cause, for the most part, they are consistent in their exercise and their eating plans, they make it a habit of keeping a daily journal to track their progress, physical and emotional, and they enlist the help of a best friend, partner or family member to keep them motivated.

But don’t be fooled by the glossy magazine covers that proclaim weight loss has happened overnight, many of my Celebrity moms find it a challenging task and it doesn’t happen faster than 12 weeks. Trimming down while maintaining energy levels, and feeding your new bundle is a balancing act that is different with every woman.

It is important to listen to your body. How quickly the results can happen often depends on previous fitness levels, age and metabolism. 12 weeks is a reasonable amount of time if the average weight gain during pregnancy is 25 pounds with a weekly weight loss of 2 pounds generally considered a healthy and achievable amount.

From my experience with my clients, if you can fit in 20-30 minutes a day of Phase 1 of 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone workout which focuses on Core training, 5 days a week, for the first month you will achieve the goals of getting started in gentle and time efficient way.

The second month with more energy and time to spare Phase 2 increases the duration of exercise to 40 minutes and focuses on fat burning cardio moves, this workout is done 4 days a week.

Phase 3 is the last 4 weeks of the 12 week program and focuses on Strength training moves that shape and tone your now trim body. It is an hour of exercise done 4 days a week.
